Course Overview
This comprehensive 2-credit certification course is designed to equip mental health
practitioners with both foundational and advanced skills in Clinical Hypnotherapy. The course
integrates evidence-based hypnotic techniques with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
enhancing clinical practice.
Learning Objectives
● Theoretical Foundations: Gain a clear understanding of the theoretical foundations
and practical applications of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
● Proficiency in Techniques: Develop proficiency in induction and deepening
techniques.
● Self-Hypnosis Exploration: Explore self-hypnosis and its uses in personal and
clinical settings.
● CBT Integration: Integrate hypnotic techniques with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
● Advanced Applications: Understand and apply age regression and hypnoanalysis
in selected cases.
Course Structure & Modules
Module 1 : Foundations of Clinical Hypnotherapy
Duration : 6 hours
● History and evolution of hypnotherapy
● Myths and misconceptions surrounding hypnotic practice
● Theories of hypnotherapy
● Clinical indications and contraindications
● Introduction to induction techniques
Module 2 : Techniques and Applications
Duration : 6 hours
● Deepening techniques
● Advanced induction methods
● Introduction to self-hypnosis
● Live demonstrations and peer practice
Assignment: Participants are required to apply these techniques with clients/patients and
submit session recordings (totaling 6 hours) as part of internal assessment.
Module 3 : Hypnotherapy and CBT Integration
Duration : 18 hours (excluding 6 hours of client work)
● Introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
● Integrating CBT principles with hypnosis
● Cognitive Behavioural Hypnosis techniques
● Introduction to hypnoanalysis and age regression
● Supervised practice sessions with clients
Assignment: Submission of session recordings for :
● Hypnotic induction
● Deepening
● Self-hypnosis (audio submission)
● Hypnoanalysis (with age regression)
Assessment & Certification
Internal Assessment :
● Based on video/audio submissions demonstrating key hypnotic skills.
Final Assessment:
● Written examination or group research presentation at the end of the course.
Certification:
● Awarded upon successful completion of all modules and assessments
